GET INVOLVED and VOLUNTEER for ŠTO TE NEMA - CHICAGO
Volunteer for this year's ŠTO TE NEMA monument at Daley Plaza on Tuesday, July 11, 2017
ŠTO TE NEMA is a participatory monument made with collected porcelain coffee cups (fildžani) and coffee. Everyone, including all visitors and passersby is invited to commemorate those who were killed during the Srebrenica genocide by placing fildžani on the ground and filling them with Bosnian coffee prepared on site throughout the day. Volunteers can contribute in a variety of ways such as:
- make traditional Bosnian coffee
- explain ŠTO TE NEMA to passersby and encourage them to participate
- help with washing, cleaning and packing of all cups at the end of the day
Volunteer shifts are a minimum two hour commitment on July 11, 2017. All volunteers are required to attend one mandatory orientation meeting on either Saturday, July 8 or Sunday, July 9.
